The very rare, privately self-published true first edition of the author's first book. Set in the mythical world of Alagaesia, "Eragon" is the first book in the "Inheritance Cycle" and made Paolini a best-selling author at the age of nineteen. Basis for the 2006 film of the same name, starring Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich. SIGNED by the author on the title page: "May your swords stay sharp! Christopher Paolini".
